Live Freely / by Simeon Haynes

The idea of not being stuck with one look that is meant to define isn’t one that is discussed frequently.  We often grow so attached to our masks that we forget we have the ability to change how we’re perceived to the world. With the whim, our appearance can get us ready for a job, a date, a reunion, hell a funeral even. The comfort and confidence of our choices generally weigh on the overall acceptance of our look from common public. Is there not a problem with that practice? Dressing so that you please the publics’ aesthetically aware community and pet their venerations of brands worshiping egos for even a sense of belonging, rather than just dressing the way you feel and what you know is appropriate. I could go on, but it would all sum up to being yourself.. totally. Owning your truth, live it, breath it and walk it.  It’s not a fix to save the world or bring global peace. It is however a step in the direction of more individuals living genuinely and freely.  …to be picked apart in depth at a later date
